With both directors having spent over 40 years collectively in the waste and environmental industry, they have been accredited with accolades in both NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) and levels 4 & 5 in WAMITAB (Waste Management Industry Training & Advisory Board) and also act as consultants - working closely on varying sustainability projects.
Not only do we comply with the Environment Agency but, back in early 2021, our directors were approached by Carpet Recycling UK (a non-profit organisation that prevents carpet going to landfill), whom of which requested Foley’s directors to join the board to offer their expertise and put into place the new governing legislation that is the RPS 248. (More information on the RPS 248 can be found on the gov.uk website at; https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/using-shredded-waste-carpet-in-equestrian-surfacing-rps-248 ).
Foleys produce their surfaces from brand-new products and work within the current guidelines set out by the EA in minimising the risk of contamination in the equestrian carpet industry. Carpet Recycling UK have since audited Foley’s Equestrian Surfaces and accredited them with a certificate of membership.
Our care for the environment goes into everything we do, from trying to source our products from the closest site to the customer – reducing our carbon footprint, right down to the bags we supply the surface in being repurposed from a previous use – we don’t feel the need to brand our bags as our surfaces speak for themselves!
