Our Ambassadors

Meet our ambassadors and become part of the team...

The Foley's Ambassador Team

We don’t want to just have the best arena surfaces in the UK, we also want to have the best team to support through their journeys!

Being inclusive, we welcome all capabilities from all disciplines in our ambassador team – our all-weather riding surfaces, caters for all elements of riding after all!

Whilst we’ve had a couple equestrians come and go, we’ve had some people that have been with us from the very start of our journey, having the privilege of watching both horse and rider go from strength to strength and most importantly, enjoy their journey along the way. We have the privilege of working with some great equestrians who have not only become an ambassador, but are also a big part of The Foley’s Team.

We offer a relaxed approach when it comes to our ambassadors roles within the team. We allow them the chance to see if becoming a brand ambassador is right for them, whilst discovering what Foley’s is all about, learning of our ethics within the equestrian and recycling industry.

The Foley’s Team is still in its junior days, and whilst our ambassadors are doing a great job, we hope that as we grow we can bring them all together to help build the Foley’s Ambassadors community, whereby the team can work as a collective group, helping one another – not only within Foley’s, but within the equestrian world also.

Meet Ambassador...

Victoria Jacobs

It’s double trouble for our ambassador Victoria, having a horse in each hand with mares Dallas and Luna… that’s why we’ve got two hands, right, so we can have two horses! Victoria is an amateur show-jumper competing all over the country (and doing rather well, we must say). When not on board the horses, Victoria can be found with her husband making show jumps – check out Jacobs Jumps for some funky designs and top craftmanship.

Sophie Riggs

Meet Ambassador...

Sophie Riggs

Sophie bought her gelding, Jimmy, as a happy hacker after his career in racing. Jimmy is a 16.2hh, 8 year-old thoroughbred ex-racehorse whose racing name was ‘I Don’t Believe It’. The pair love to show-jump and together, they are slowly working towards Jimmy being an all-rounder with the aim to One Day Event throughout 2022. As part of the 3 Valleys Riding Club, they have lots of plans for the year…so watch this space!

Meet Ambassador...

Macy

Macy started riding at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love with it. Starting at her local pony club and doing some local shows – she tried clear round showjumping on lead rein one day and that was it, she was hooked!

At the age of 9 she’s now just starting her journey into British Showjumping on her palomino pony, Guy. However, they do like to keep things varied and so she also works hard at dressage, arena eventing and cross country. Showjumping is her first love though and in 2022 she done well at several national finals including a 2nd at Hickstead.

At home she uses her Foley’s arena on a daily basis schooling her ponies.
We can’t wait to see where the future takes this talented mini rider!

Kirsty Mabin

Meet Ambassador...

Kirsty Mabin

Kirsty became a Foley’s ambassador after winning the public vote and we can certainly say that we’re pleased she did! Her and Welsh x Arab pony, Gift, enjoy all aspects of showing and dressage, training daily and under the guidance of some very knowledgeable instructors. Having scoliosis, Kirsty rides with the RDA (Riding for the Disabled) and reminds us daily of her sheer grit and determination, and what it truly takes to be an equestrian.

Meet Ambassador...

Kirsten Darbyson

With a grandfather in the mounted cavalry, a dad taking on the role as groom, and a selfless mother who sold her own horse to spend all her time training her daughter, it was undoubtably on the cards that Kirsten’s life would be heavily impacted by horses. Starting from the age of three-years-old, Kirsten had a need for speed and loved nothing more than trying to get the fastest time in the jump-offs.

Fast forward some years later and three-year-old chestnut, Red, came into Kirstens life. Being completely green, Kirsten trained Red herself and as the years went by the pair competed BS up to Foxhunter – with many wins through the ranks. Misfortune struck when Red had a freak accident in his stable resulting in two reconstructive surgeries to put his mouth back together. Unable to take a bit, Kirsten went back to basics, without a bit – this is where the pair found their love of dressage.

The duo are now affiliated, enjoying the best of both worlds in combined training and finding themselves frequently on the podium in national championships all over the country. Along with lovely wright ups in The Horse and Hound and the British Dressage magazines.

Emma Rutter

Meet Ambassador...

Emma Rutter

Horses are definitely a family thing for Essex-born Emma, having a mother who already had a love for the sport, she first started riding at the age of 3-years-old. Today, Emma is the proud owner of Lola – a 20-year-old AES breed mare who, due to Lolas age, currently compete low-level BJSA for the fun of it! The pair also love cross-country and Emma plans to start showing Lola in veteran classes to keep things varied. Lola is also apparently partial to a stud muffin and bread…girl after our own heart here!
